So, what is the more specifics of that amber fragrance, Bell wore?  Although, this largely remains a speculation but considering immense weight put behind the Nemat fragrances Amber oil by Cosmopolitan, Huffington post and Nemat’s official site (home page) including some great reviews by mass users, it would be safe to assume that Amber oil of Bell was a Nemat International Amber Oil.

Kuumba Made Tunisian Amber fragrance OilTunisian Amber perfume oil has in it Kuumba Made’s own fragrance blend with natural and essential oils. It is a beautiful blend of oils and resins from flowers, plants, roots and trees. It is offers depth to a sweet, warm and spicy experience with awakening and enticing aroma. Tunisian Amber is able to evoke distant memories and sparks our imagination. It feels sultry and smoky as a far off, exotic tea house.

Overall, it is an oriental, spicy fragrance for unisex. The fragrance features amber, resins, sweet notes and spicy notes. Kuumba Made is known for uncompromising quality fragrances. It is lighter version of their Amber paste and comes as roll-on.

Kuumba Made Amber Paste Fragrance Oil vs Nemat Amber Oil

Kuumba Made Amber Paste Fragrance OilAmber Paste by Kumbaa Made is a warm, earthy, deeply sensual resin with a hint of sweetness and spice. It enhances meditation, relaxation and balance. Exuberating very enticing fragrance makes it perfect for men and women.

The first obvious difference between Tunisian Amber and Amber paste is that the latter is thick and a bit sticky while the former has oil feel and comes as a roll-on. However, the sticky texture doesn’t leave mark and is not sticky use wise. It has stronger fragrance than the Tunisian Amber and stays on for longer and hence has a larger fanfare. But, if you like something subtle, Tunisian is the way to go with.  Also, because, it a more natural and potent blend, it might be allergic to some with sensitive skins. For those, the softer version, Tunisian Amber could be the better choice.

In Swahili, one of the African dialects, kuumba means to make things more beautiful to benefit the community. Kuumba Made, now a credible global brand, draws on herbalism and ancient wisdom to create exquisite oils, healing salves and body care products using the finest botanical ingredients. They claim that flowers and herbs used are either grown in their own organic garden, harvested at certified organic farms, or ethically wild harvested.

While you look amber oils for using it as a fragrance, Amber essential oil and amber note would sometimes might throw into a state of confusion. Keeping this into perspective, it is imperative that you understand the aspects of amber oil clearly.

What makes Amber Note in fragrances

Amber smell has a long tradition in the perfumery so almost every perfumer has a version of amber fragrance. But what exactly is it?

What is the Amber Essential Oil Available in the Marketplace?

Mostly mistaken, Amber essential oil is not one single oil rather a blend of many oils and ingredients. Common understanding is that amber essential oil available in the market place or used in perfumery is either created from fossilized tree resin or ambergris. But it is not correct for both the things are highly rare and scarce.

The fragrance wise too, the Fossilized resin (the true amber) doesn’t have any smell unless burnt. Of course, you can make some oils from destructive distillation of fossil amber, but they tend to smell burnt and not like we imagine amber to be. However, the tree resins, the normal non-fossilized kind, have a lovely woody sweet scent we describe as resinous.

So, What are Amber Perfume Oil

Now when no amber essential oil per say exist how come Amber perfume oils are created? In fact, Labdanum resin today is the most popular substitute of an Amber you could  imagine of. Benzoin, balsam of Peru, frankincense, myrrh, copal, styrax/storax/liquidambar, are other substitute of amber of your imagination. Mixing these resins with essential oils of cedarwood and sandalwood and vanilla (not an oil also) gives rise to Amber perfume oil.

There are notions why perfumers could have defined amber note as sweet, woody earthy note from blends of various resins. Firstly, perhaps resins are the precursor to amber, their lobes are golden glow like actual amber or to resemble ambergris at a lower cost. (real ambergris can cost you tens of thousands of dollar)

Considering all this, Nemat Amber oil is my favourite Check it out here!

Ambergris Perfume

These can have small amount of ambergris, an excreted waste from stomach of sperm whale. The excreted lobe floats on the ocean for years and years and abnoxious smell turns to sweet, earthy fragrance.

Basically, Ambergris are highly precious for two reasons. Firstly only 1% or so sperm whale can excrete this stuff and again the whale has become an endangered species hence protected one.

In any case the ambergris perfume can use this stuff in small fraction to make a base note out of it which has a great fixative property. Not only that, mixing of Ambergris also extend the staying power of other smells and oils.

Ambergris perfume do not come in budget and you might need to spend a bomb. In any case, I am not after misnomers and Nemat Amber oil is my favourite,Check it out here!
